SARAJEVO, October 14 (FENA) - Courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina have resolved 113.260 of the oldest court cases in the first nine months of this year, the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
The number of resolved cases is lower by 11 percent compared to the same period last year, and the realization of the expected results was affected by the declared state of accident / emergency in Bosnia and Herzegovina, caused by the appearance and spread of coronavirus, during which courts operated in special regimes in accordance with the decisions of the HJPC BiH and the decisions of the competent crisis headquarters.
According to the results of the analysis, in the period from January 1 to September 30, 2020, the most efficient were the courts of higher instances whose percentage of achievable results was 86 percent, while the first instance courts - municipal, basic and district commercial, resolved an average of 62 percent of foreseen cases.
Observed by entities, the courts in the Federation of BiH resolved 76.415 cases, in the Republika Srpska 33.953 cases, and in the Brčko District of BiH 1.626. The Court of BiH resolved a total of 1.266 cases.
