SARAJEVO, October 20 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović spoke by phone today with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and thanked him for the interest in his health after it was confirmed that he was positive for coronavirus.
Izetbegović informed him that he is feeling well and that there were no major problems. He also thanked Erdogan for recalling the late Alija Izetbegović on the anniversary of his death with a message on social networks, thus once again confirming how much he appreciates the character and work of the first President of the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
They also discussed the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey, and the ways in which they continue to improve even during the coronavirus pandemic. As it was said, this will be discussed during the recent meeting between Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Šefik Džaferović, and President Erdogan, which should be arranged as soon as the circumstances caused by the pandemic permit.
During talks on regional relations, Izetbegović briefed Erdogan on the current situation, with special emphasis on relations in the BiH-Serbia-Croatia, the SDA announced.
