Košarac: BiH and Serbia need an agreement on the export of concrete steel

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, October 21 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Staša Košarac talked today in Sarajevo with a delegation of the company "ArcelorMittal" Zenica about the process being conducted in the Serbian institutions regarding the possible introduction of protective measures on the import of corrugated concrete steel into this country.

Košarac expressed his resoluteness to define a model in cooperation with the competent authorities in Serbia, on the basis of which companies from both entities in BiH would be exempt from possible restrictions on the exports of corrugated steel.

"Our goal is to provide domestic companies with unhindered business operation and we are in communication with the competent institutions in Serbia regarding this issue.

I am convinced that we will find an adequate solution so that the business of domestic companies would not be compromised, based on indicators that show that BiH producers did not cause disruption in the Serbian market, i.e., that in the past period there was no growth in exports of corrugated concrete to Serbia from BiH, but on the contrary, there was a recorded drop in exports from BiH to Serbia," Košarac pointed out, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH announced.
