FENA Press release

SARAJEVO / ANKARA, October 29 (FENA) - On the second day of his visit to the Republic of Turkey, FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić met today in Ankara with EXIM Bank Deputy General Manager for Insurance/International Credits Enis Gultekin and Suzan Usta, Head of International Loans Department.

They discussed the financing of the construction of the airport in Bihać and the Sarajevo-Belgrade motorway, particularly about the sections of the motorway in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The officials have agreed on the further steps on the financial details. These are projects worth half a billion euros.

EXIM banks finance exclusively government projects on a long-term basis, and for a government to be eligible for such financing it must have a positive rating.

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is considered eligible for such financing, after passing the first phase of EXIM Bank's assessment.

Along with Prime Minister Novalić, this meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH, Nedžad Branković, the Prime Minister's associates and the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Turkey, Adis Alagić.

The FBiH Prime Minister has been on an official visit to Turkey since Wednesday, during which a series of meetings with Turkish officials and businessmen are planned with the aim of enabling new investments, the Press Service of the FBiH Government said.
