ISLAMABAD, November 4 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, summed up the first day of his visit to the friendly country of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in a conversation for FENA, emphasizing the possibilities of expanding mutual cooperation.
It is a successful visit, as befits countries that are friends without open issues. The Pakistani officials welcomed him in a friendly atmosphere.
He noted that during a meeting with Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, they analyzed overall relations with an emphasis on the need to strengthen economic cooperation, writes FENA0s reporter from Islamabad.
The current level of foreign trade is only 4.5 million euros. Such commodities trade scope is negligible, says Džaferović, in relation to the potential that the countries have.
Džaferović thanked the Pakistani government and prime minister for everything that the country has done for BiH, especially expressing gratitude for their help during the war in BiH, but they also continued to provide assistance after the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the end of the war.
Contractual relations were also analyzed because bilateral relations are regulated by agreements between the states, so today a Readmission Agreement was finally concluded, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of science and technology, signed by Minister of Security Selmo Cikotić on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Chairman of the Presidency of BiH hanked the Government of Pakistan, which enabled the conclusion of that agreement, which came as a result of friendly relations between the two countries.
Džaferović noted that, when he goes to foreign countries, he always organizes a meeting with the staff of the Embassy of BiH and our citizens living abroad, in this case, it was Pakistan and today he met with many people of BiH origin who came to live in Pakistan for various reasons.
