ISLAMABAD, November 5 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović met today in Islamabad with representatives of the business community and businessmen from Pakistan, and the delegation was led by Abdul Razak Dawood, advisor to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on commerce and investment.
The delegation included representatives of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Federation of Employers of Pakistan, representatives of the Chambers of Commerce of Sialkot and Faisalabad, and private entrepreneurs.
The officials discussed the improvement of economic cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Pakistan.
BiH Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović stressed the special importance of increasing trade between the two countries.
He also stressed the importance of implementing the agreements signed so far in the economic field, and the importance of preparing other agreements that will enable more intensive economic cooperation.
Chairman Džaferović expressed satisfaction with yesterday's meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, with whom, as he said, he discussed concrete possibilities for improving economic cooperation.
They talked about the possibilities for Bosnia and Herzegovina to export milk to Pakistan, among other things, as well as about cooperation in the electricity sector, wood industry and other areas.
They also discussed activities of the Joint Commission on Economic Issues, which will meet in Sarajevo in March next year and emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Pakistan, the BiH Presidency said.
