MOSTAR, November 10 (FENA) - German Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Margret Uebber presented two ventilators donated by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany to the University Clinical Hospital Mostar (SKB) today.
The donation was realized in cooperation with the Civil Protection of Germany, and the ventilators are quality devices for artificial ventilation manufactured by Dräger and related equipment for which maintenance is provided on the territory of BiH. In addition, training for medical staff will be organized to work on these devices.
Ambassador Uebber emphasized that this is just a drop in the ocean of what BiH and the medical profession really need.
“With this donation, we want to show Germany's solidarity with partners in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we sincerely hope that we succeeded in that,” Uebber pointed out.
She added that she also hopes that the coronavirus vaccine will be developed very soon and that the pandemic will come to an end soon, and until then, she added, we all need to adhere to the adopted rules and regulations.
Germany has donated 12 Dräger ventilators worth a total of 350,000 euros to hospitals across Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to Mostar, ventilators were donated to hospitals in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Zenica, Tuzla and Nova Bila.
