Foreigners Affairs Service issues expulsion measure for 36 foreign nationals

SARAJEVO, November 20 (FENA) - The Service for Foreigners' Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina is conducting intensified operational activities to control the movement and stay of foreigners.

As a result of these activities, in the last seven days, the Service has issued an expulsion measure for 36 foreign nationals, including citizens of Morocco, Afghanistan, Tunisia, Pakistan, Iraq, Nepal, Turkey, Albania, China and Montenegro.

These foreign nationals have been placed under monitoring at the Immigration Center or their movement has been restricted until they leave the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In cooperation with the Foreigners Affairs Service and the International Organization for Migration, through the Program of Assisted Voluntary Return, 14 foreign nationals have been deported from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina to their countries of origin, including four nationals of Nepal, three of Pakistan, two of Afghanistan, two nationals of Iraq, two of Morocco and one citizen of Tunisia," the Service said.

Foreign nationals were previously issued with an expulsion measure due to illegal stay on the territory of BiH with a ban on entry and residence for a period of one to five years.

Since the beginning of 2020, the Foreigners Affairs Service has registered 15,311 migrants, of whom 262 have been registered in the last seven days. 6,155 migrants are currently staying in temporary reception centers," said the Service.
