BIHAĆ, December 23 (FENA) - The citizens of Bihać gathered tonight in front of the recently closed Reception Center "Bira", where they have been protesting against the return of illegal migrants and refugees to this migration-center in the very center of the city for more than 70 days.
They reiterated that they are not protesting against people in need, but exclusively against their placement in the inner city zone, given the experience with the disturbing security situation in the previous period, when about two thousand people stayed in this center.
- We simply do not want the city center to be run over again. We have bad experiences and we will try to persevere in preserving the safety of our children, as well as preserving the decisions of the City Council of Bihać and the Assembly of Una-Sana Canton - said one of the gathered citizens.
After today's unfortunate events in the reception camp at the Lipa site, the police control at the entrance to the city of Bihać was significantly intensified. The Specialist Support Unit of the USC Ministry of the Interior has also been hired.
