NEW YORK, February 16 (FENA) - Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Sven Alkalaj, expressed BiH's support for the collective efforts of UN peacekeeping operations, with full respect for international law and human rights protection.
Alkalaj is leading the BiH delegation at the session of the UN Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations, which will be held from February 15 to March 12, 2021.
Addressing the representatives of the United Nations member states during the session of the Special Committee, he emphasized that, taking into account the changes in the nature of modern conflicts, it is invaluable that the UN system continuously identifies and responds to new challenges.
The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the session of the UN Special Committee on Peace Operations, in addition to Ambassador Alkalaj, consists of Adviser to the Permanent Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN Brigadier Jasmin Katica and First Secretary of the Permanent Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN Saša Milanović, announced the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.
