No support in BiH PA HoR for Justice Minister Grubeša's removal from office

SARAJEVO, February 25 (FENA) - MPs in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina at today's session did not support the proposal to dismiss from duty the Minister of Justice of BiH Josip Grubeša (Croat Democratic Union - HDZ BiH).

Fourteen MPs voted for his removal, 17 were against it, and one abstained.

The SDS MP Dragan Mektić said that it seemed to him that the executive power has become afraid of the shocking information that the Ad Hoc Inquiry Commission came to by obtaining the shocking facts about the anomalies in the judicial system from the key holders of judicial positions.

Minister Grubeša pointed out that "he could not help but notice that there are no Croats in that Commission, and why was that the case, the answer should be sought from the creators of such policies."

"It is obvious that there is no real indicator of the absence of quality in my work, regardless of which of the arguments you put in context and truly look at what the Ministry of Justice did in 2020 and earlier years," Grubeša underlined.
