NOVI PAZAR, March 9 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković welcomed the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia to approve the opening of the Consulate General of BiH in Novi Pazar, which will be an opportunity to improve relations between the two countries.
“We sincerely hope that this consulate, when it is officially opened, will have a significant role in strengthening our economic, cultural, scientific, but also cooperation in many other areas,” Turković pointed out.
On that occasion, the Ambassador of BiH to Serbia, Aida Smajić, also visited Novi Pazar.
"In the conversation with the mayor of Novi Pazar, we discussed what Novi Pazar should do in the future as a municipality in terms of cooperation with the consulate and with BiH,” she pointed out.
BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović expressed gratitude for the approval of the Republic of Serbia to open the BiH Consulate General in Novi Pazar.
“When it comes to the Bosniak people, we will have cooperation, both within the Bosniak national councils and within the bilateral cooperation between BiH and other countries where Bosniaks live. This will improve our overall, political, economic and cultural relations,” said Džaferović.
