SARAJEVO, March 11 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović said, commenting on the conclusions of the RS National Assembly and Milorad Dodik's speech at the session, that he thinks Milorad Dodik is guided by "the attack is the best form of defense".
“He launched an attack on the OHR and the PIC, because he has been defensive in the last few months as he was forced to remove the Radovan Karadžić plaque on Pale, he was given a deadline to annul the honors and commendations that the Assembly awarded to persons convicted of war criminals, a law banning genocide denial has been announced. So, a counterattack was launched,” Izetbegović stated.
According to him, in the last ten years, they have managed to do so, "although they scared the international community and they were passive."
That is why, adds Izetbegović, it happened that war criminals were decorated, that these anti-civilization acts happened in BiH.
We expect, said Izetbegović, that the OHR remains as it is part of the system and it cannot even be abolished without constitutional reform, but to be more active, to stop those things.
HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović was asked to comment on the conclusions of the RS National Assembly and Milorad Dodik's address, saying that he devoted most of his time yesterday to meetings with SDA and preparations for those meetings.
“I will read everything, so I will probably answer very clearly tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. There is no doubt in a way we see the organization of BiH, there is no doubt how we see the role of the High Representative. We have said many times, our step towards candidate status means that we must be free of direct influence from outside, including the OHR office in BiH,” said Čović.
