ANKARA, March 16 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović assessed today's visit of the BiH state delegation to Turkey, which was organized at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as very important.
As he stated, it is an opportunity to once again confirm and strengthen extremely good friendly relations on the political, economic and cultural level.
“The Republic of Turkey is a very important country in the world and plays an important stabilizing role in the Western Balkans. It has very good relations with all the countries of the Western Balkans,” he underlined.
He announced that the construction of the Sarajevo-Belgrade motorway will be discussed in Ankara, and an agreement will be signed, which is the beginning of the implementation of this large project for BiH and the entire region, as well as how to improve trade.
He reminded that the two countries have concluded a Free Trade Agreement and that BiH has been given benefits from Turkey that no other country in the world has.
“Production investments that should arrive in BiH from Turkey will also be discussed, as well as the fight against the coronavirus pandemic,” Džaferović added before today's meetings.
Chairman and members of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik, Šefik Džaferović and Željko Komšić, are in an official visit to the Republic of Turkey today.
After the welcoming ceremony, a tête-à-tête meeting of the members of the Presidency of BiH and the President of the Republic of Turkey will be held, followed by a meeting of the delegations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey.
During the official visit, it is planned to sign the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in infrastructure and construction projects and the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on mutual recognition of driving licenses.
The agreements will be signed by BiH Minister of Communications and Transport Vojin Mitrović, who is a member of the BiH delegation on an official visit to the Republic of Turkey.
