SARAJEVO, March 19 (FENA) - The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) assessed today that the statement of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, which calls into question the NATO path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, represents yet another inappropriate interference in the internal affairs of BiH.
"The position of the Russian Federation that BiH's closer relations with NATO would be an act of hostility towards Russia is unfounded and it is an expression of the desire to abolish the right of our country to independently conduct its foreign and defense policies," the SDA said in a statement.
The SDA added that the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH passed the Law on Defense by consensus in 2006, which traced our country's NATO path and later through other decisions and strategies which confirmed its commitment to NATO membership.
"All issues related to the fate and future of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be decided by its institutions and its citizens and no one else," stated the SDA.
