SARAJEVO, March 25 (FENA) - Head of the European Union Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative in BiH Johann Sattler visited the General Hospital "Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš" today, where Director of this health institution Ismet Gavrankapetanović received him.
On this occasion, Sattler handed over a donation containing 35,000 protective gloves for hospital staff and was interested in the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gavrankapetanović thanked the Ambassador for the visit and the EU for the donation, which will be helpful because the protective equipment is consumed the fastest in a pandemic. He also introduced him to the work of the hospital, and especially the Covid ward where more than 200 coronavirus patients are treated.
He emphasized that the influx of patients is the largest so far, that the hospital capacities are full and that they are constantly expanding, and that the staff is making maximum efforts to respond to the challenges, the General Hospital said.
