SARAJEVO, March 28 (FENA) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić reminded on his Twitter account of three important regulations based on which the Attorney General's Office of BiH must react immediately, regarding the "scandalous" installation of a gas pipeline under the Sava riverbed as an interstate border without the consent of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and based on the so-called Agreement between the Republic of Croatia and BiH entity of Republika Srpska.
Zvizdić reminds of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties - only states are subjects of international law, and as he points out, the Republic of Croatia should know that as an EU member.
He reminded of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to which the Presidency of BiH is responsible for conducting negotiations for the conclusion of international agreements, and the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH decides on the consent for ratification of the agreement.
“Neither of these two constitutionally binding procedures has been complied with, and the Republic of Croatia, as a member of the EU, must have known this,” Zvizdić believes.
He also reminded of an important regulation, the Law on Border Control, according to which the Border Line is exclusively under the jurisdiction of the BiH Border Police.
“The Sava River represents an internationally recognized border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, and any usurpation on the border zone, without the consent of the state, represents the gravest violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, I request that the said Agreement be declared null and void, including everything that resulted from it,” Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić announced on his Twitter.
