SARAJEVO, April 6 (FENA) - BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović said today that there are no additional ethnic or territorial divisions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“They just aren't possible. This state can no longer withstand any ethnic or territorial division, and that is not the correct way for BiH. The path of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the reintegration and integration of such an integrated state into the European Union and the NATO alliance,” said Džaferović.
To those who advocate secession, he said they would never succeed. He pointed out that "not a single inch of Bosnia and Herzegovina will ever be separated".
According to him, they can only disturb the peace, they can destabilize the situation in BiH and they can only produce more severe consequences for the part of BiH that they claim they want to secede.
"Republika Srpska was formed in Dayton. If they go that route, they will dissolve the Dayton. BiH existed even before Dayton. It will continue to exist after Dayton, if Dayton ceases to exist. Only Republika Srpska can disappear, because it was created in the Dayton Peace Agreement. That is my message to them, to those who want additional ethnic divisions in BiH," stated Džaferović.
We cannot, he added, agree to any additional ethnic divisions. We cannot agree once again, by implementing the decision or rulings of the European Court of Human Rights, to confirm the discrimination established by the European Court of Human Rights.
Asked to comment on Milorad Dodik's allegations that he would request the RS president to be a member of the BiH Presidency at the same time, Džaferović said that it in Dayton, BiH’s state and legal continuity was confirmed and the internal structure was reshaped.
He added that Dodik's idea is unacceptable.
He was also asked to comment on the "non-paper" that BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić recently sent to Brussels, and whether he agrees with the fact that the EU Delegation concedes to SNSD and HDZ.
He believes that Komšić wrote many things correctly in that letter. He added that he does not think that the Delegation of the European Commission in Sarajevo, officials, ambassadors, can do anything that is against the principles established by the European Commission.
