Jewell: IMF will look at the progress made in terms of implementing reforms

FENA Darinka Mitrović

SARAJEVO, April 7 (FENA) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will, as a next step, look at the progress made by the BiH authorities on the reforms recommended by IMF in the recent Article IV consultations, IMF Resident Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Andrew Jewell told FENA.

He reminded that senior IMF officials held a virtual meeting with the BiH delegation yesterday as part of the regular spring meetings between the IMF and the World Bank. The BiH delegation was led by the Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers, Zoran Tegeltija.

"The participants in the meeting discussed the epidemiological situation in BiH, the impact of the pandemic on the BiH economy, and the prospects for continuing negotiations on a new arrangement with the IMF," Jewell added.
