Salkić: Dodik and the Serb people do not own the territory of RS

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, April 22 (FENA) - The entity of Republika Srpska Vice President Ramiz Salkić believes that the name itself, 'Republika Srpska', stimulates Bosnian Serbs to privatize the entity and see it as spoils of war, which is uterly unacceptable.

Reacting to the statement of the member of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik, who said that "the Serbs, if they decide to leave Bosnia and Herzegovina, will take with them what belongs to them, i.e. 49 percent of the territory of BiH, which now belongs to the entity", Salkić emphasized that the established, proven and adjudicated court facts should be the basis in any further negotiations and agreements on constitutional changes in BiH.

"Serbs are not the owners of 49 percent of the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, if Dodik takes them somewhere like Karadžić did with Sarajevo Serbs, they can carry with them only what those who followed Karadžić did. The name of the entity is discriminatory against Bosniaks, Croats and all other citizens who live in this entity who do not declare themselves as Orthodox Serbs," said Salkić.

What we can truly single out as their merit of the war are the judgments of the International Court of Justice in The Hague and the International Criminal Court for the former Yugoslavia.

As Salkić points out, those verdicts are clear, the Bosnian Serb army and parts of the Bosnian Serb police committed genocide against the inhabitants of the UN Safe Area of Srebrenica.
