SC Assembly passes a decision to establish the Holocaust Museum in Sarajevo

SARAJEVO, April 28 (FENA) - The Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton today accepted the initiative of an MP Damir Nikšić to pass a decision on the establishment of the Holocaust Museum in Sarajevo.

Under this initiative, the revision of the cantonal budget has been envisaged to provide funds for this museum, which will amount to a symbolic amount, and for premises for the Holocaust Museum to be secured in cooperation with the mayor and the Sarajevo City Administration.

In order to start with the implementation of this initiative, the Assembly needs to pass the necessary legislation.

For now, the only Holocaust museum in the region currently exists in Skopje. It was founded in March 2011.
