SARAJEVO, May 9 (FENA) - One of the most important documents, the Employment Strategy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was adopted at the session of the Government of the Federation of BiH this past week, and was sent to the further parliamentary procedure.
On that occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Policy Vesko Drljača explained in an interview with FENA the details contained in the Strategy designated for the period of the next seven years.
"First of all, the Strategy is the result of the work of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the International Labor Organization and other competent institutions. It is known that employment policy is one of the most important development policies in society. The effects of employment policy significantly affect the economic development of society, the stability of the social system. It offers young people the perspective to get a job, start a family and build a future in BiH, and it has a positive effect on attracting foreign investors," Drljača explains.
The Strategy is harmonized with the FBiH Development Strategy (2021-2027) and sectoral strategies at all levels in BiH, respecting the common development goals.
"The Strategy has four basic strategic goals that will be pursued in order to promote full, productive and freely chosen employment.
The first is to increase personal employability and improve skills alignment with labor market requirements. Second, promote the capacity of private sector enterprises to create formal jobs. The third objective is to ensure the inclusion of disadvantaged people in the labor market and the fourth is to strengthen labor market management and increase policy implementation capacities. In the next seven years, we must adapt the domestic market to the European market. The data regarding the percentage of employees are quite bad and we must change that urgently," Drljača emphasized.
The stated goals and other activities will be possible to realize if, at the coming sessions, the Employment Strategy is approved by the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH.
