PZuBiH: Palestinian people have right to defend themselves from occupiers

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, May 16 (FENA) - The Palestinian Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina (PZuBiH) issued a press release yesterday stating that "the right of the Palestinian people to defend themselves from the occupiers is an inalienable right, which must not be endangered."

“The right of the Palestinian people to defend themselves from the Israeli occupation and the crimes committed by the Israeli state is an inalienable right that cannot be endangered, and that right is guaranteed by the United Nations Charter and laws that allow people to resist the occupation to gain freedom and independence,” said the statement.

At the same time, the Palestinian Community in BiH points out that the courageous struggle and resistance of the Palestinian people, "which stretches across Palestinian historical land, including Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and within the occupied territories in 1948, reaffirms Palestinian adherence to national identity" which the occupation failed to erase and take away, despite 73 years since the Palestinian Nakba (catastrophe) ".

“People's insistence on strengthening unity on the ground and cohesion of all forces must be supported by the current Palestinian decision to strengthen national unity and implement the decisions of the Palestinian National Council and the Central Council, which should lead to the cancellation of agreements signed with the Israeli occupier,” it is stated.

Therefore, the Palestinian Community in BiH demands that the parliaments of the Arab and Islamic countries take responsibility, and calls on the Arab and Islamic peoples to continue their solidarity and support for the Palestinian people.

“The reluctance of the United Nations, the silence of the great powers and the equalization of victims and executioners, who commit war crimes in the Gaza Strip and other Palestinian cities, gave the green light to the occupier to continue its aggression, which has killed 146 people so far, including 39 children and 22 women, and wounded about 1,350 Palestinians, most of whom are children and women. We also stress the unacceptable views of the United States and some other accomplices that they consider bombing unarmed people under Israeli occupation planes, cannons and ships to be self-defense, meaning that those countries have announced their abandonment of legal, moral and humanitarian duties,” it is said in the statement.
