SARAJEVO, June 29 (FENA) - BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović received yesterday a delegation of entrepreneurs from Pakistan, led by Fauji Foundation President Waqar Ahmed Malik.
Džaferović pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan have exceptional friendly relations, which were confirmed even in the moments when Bosnia and Herzegovina was going through the most difficult times, and that these relations should be further developed and strengthened, especially through economic cooperation.
The interlocutors discussed concrete modalities of strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries, especially when it comes to production investment opportunities, and the areas of wood and metal processing industry, agriculture and food production, as well as the textile industry were singled out from potential sectors for investment in BiH.
The Fauji Foundation is one of the largest economic concerns in Pakistan, bringing together oil companies, agricultural companies, food companies and many other. The volume of business of this concern amounts to 4 billion dollars, and in addition to activities in the field of business, the Foundation also runs a number of socially responsible institutions in the fields of health, education and scientific development.
Yesterday's meeting, along with Mr. Waqar Ahmed Malik and the delegation of the Fauji Foundation, was attended by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Bosnia and Herzegovina Khalid Rao, the Press service of the Presidency of BiH announced.
