Tadić and representatives of US Embassy on the fight against human trafficking

SARAJEVO, July 2 (FENA) - Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH Gordana Tadić with prosecutors and members of the Task Force for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and Organized Illegal Migration Sena Uzunović and Merisa Nurkić, met with representatives of the US Embassy in BiH - Human Rights Counselor Natalia Šušak and Frank Bradsher, Resident Legal Adviser to Bosnia and Herzegovina within the U.S. Department of Justice – OPDAT and associates. 

The officials discussed the contribution of the Task Force and the informal network of prosecutors and investigators in advancing the fight against human trafficking.

The US Department of State has released the 2021 Trafficking in Persons Report, in which Bosnia and Herzegovina has progressed from the third to the second level.

The report especially emphasized the strengthening of the Task Force, its expansion and the creation of a network of prosecutors and investigators for easier coordination, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH said.
