GRADAČAC, August 29 (FENA) - The 48th International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry known as the "Plum Fair" in Gradačac ended yesterday, and 105 exhibitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the countries of the region presented their products.
Mayor of Gradačac, Edis Dervišagić, pointed out that the fair met its expectations, and it was an opportunity to talk to exhibitors, agricultural producers and representatives of the executive authorities from various levels in BiH.
The guests of this year's economic and tourist event, which lasted from August 25 to 28, were a delegation of Indonesian entrepreneurs, and the country's ambassador to BiH, Roem Kono, said the fair is a reliable and good program for economic cooperation between the two countries in the future.
He expressed hope that the citizens of Gradačac and BiH got acquainted with the potential of Indonesian products, such as spices, and that they could start direct trade cooperation with Indonesian partners.
In addition to the exhibition of products and business meetings, the fair days were marked by scientific and professional lectures and a tour of agricultural farms and the presentation of examples of good practice in agriculture.
A panel discussion on the historical development of viticulture and winemaking in BiH was held with an emphasis on Gradačac and the Majevica region, which was discussed by professor Mersija Delić from the Faculty of Agriculture and Food in Sarajevo.
The organizer of the fair of agriculture and food industry known as the Plum Fair was the City of Gradačac and the co-organizer was the company "Boms-expo".
