SARAJEVO, September 8 (FENA) - The head of the European Union delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Johann Sattler, tweeted today that the meeting with BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić and EU ambassadors resulted in a good discussion.
"The EU will continue to support Bosnia and Herzegovina, both when it comes to the economic recovery of the country and when it comes to the process of vaccination of the population. The most important thing now is to return the focus to the necessary electoral and constitutional reforms," he wrote.
The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, talked today in Sarajevo with the ambassadors of the European Union countries about the current blockade of the work of state institutions, the election legislation in BiH and the general elections planned for next year.
Komšić confirmed to reporters after the meeting that the position expressed by the international community's high representative in BiH, Christian Schmidt, said that "Komšić represents Croats, but that he was elected mostly by Bosniaks."
The meeting in the building of the EU Delegation in Sarajevo was organized at a time when the work of BiH institutions is in a complete blockade because Republika Srpska representatives refuse to come to work after former High Representative to BiH Valentin Inzko imposed amendments to the Criminal Code banning genocide denial and glorifying war criminals.
