SARAJEVO, September 17 (FENA) - State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic Vendelin Leitner, who is visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina, met today with BiH Minister of Security Selmo Cikotić.
At the meeting of the delegations of the two ministries, a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of migration and asylum was signed, and issues of common interest were discussed.
At the same time, the meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on migration management, but also on the broader security context, which, among other things, implies the connection and interdependence of countries in the region and beyond in all important security issues and challenges.
State Secretary Leitner emphasized his country's commitment and determination to continue and improve cooperation between the two countries in the field of migration and asylum, as well as other security issues.
After the meeting, the senior Slovak official stated that he was extremely satisfied with the open and constructive talks, and with the fact that everything resulted in the signing of the mentioned memorandum of cooperation.
At the same time, Leitner said he was looking forward to Minister Cikotić's return visit to Bratislava, which should follow soon.
