Six people died in a fire in the Brčko settlement of Suljagića sokak

BRČKO, October 24 (FENA) - A fire broke out yesterday morning in the Brčko settlement of Suljagića Sokak, in which, according to unofficial information, six people were killed and several were injured.

Spokeswoman for the Police of the Brčko District of BiH, Dževida Šadić Hukičević, said in a statement for FENA that the Police of the Brčko District of BiH received a call on October 23 at 6:20 AM that a house was burning in Sarajevska Street at the turn towards Suljagića Sokak.
 
“The Emergency Medical Service of the PHI Health Center Brčko was informed, as well as the professional fire brigade of the Brčko District of BiH, who went to the scene and took measures and actions within their competence. Police officers are on the ground and conducting an investigation under the supervision of the duty prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of the Brčko District of BiH, and a fire inspector went to the scene and all the circumstances under which the incident took place are being determined. The activities so far have determined that there are casualties,” said Šadić Hukičević.
 
According to unofficial information, the fire happened yesterday morning at around seven o'clock, it was not of greater intensity, and it is suspected that the injuries and deaths were the result of carbon monoxide poisoning.
