SARAJEVO, November 10 (FENA) - The police in the entity of Republika Srpska (RS) found 130 kilograms of drugs with a value of about one million KM and detained five people after they intercepted a van near Sarajevo on Wednesday.
Fifty packages of the illicit drugs, believed to be cannabis, were discovered in a hidden compartment in a van on the road towards Bjelašnica mountain.
The five suspects, four males and one female, are from the eastern town of Foča, the police said.
The Chief of the Police Administration of East Sarajevo, Branimir Šehovac, stated tonight at the press conference that five people were found in the vehicle and all of them reside in the area of the municipality of Foča.
"We estimate that the value of the seized drugs is more than 500,000 KM, while in street resale it would reach the value of more than one million KM," said Šehovac.
