SARAJEVO, November 23 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) Denis Zvizdić received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to BiH Akhtar Jamil Rao.
Welcoming the ambassador to BiH, Zvizdić thanked for everything that the state of Pakistan has done for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past period.
Chairman Zvizdić and Ambassador Rao discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and agreed that there are great opportunities for improving parliamentary cooperation, as well as cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, tourism and culture.
They agreed that the focus of cooperation should be stronger economic connections through chambers of commerce, and the creation and adoption of agreements and other acts that will improve cooperation.
Zvizdić expressed concern over the current situation in BiH and pointed out that the most difficult and complex political crisis in BiH in the last 25 years, on the resolution of which may depend whether BiH will move towards European integration in the coming period.
Ambassador Rao said that his country fully supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that BiH's integration into the European Union is important because of the great opportunities for the development of all segments of society, especially the economy, which is a precondition for further progress.
