Numerous delegations lay flowers to mark BiH Statehood Day

SARAJEVO, November 26 (FENA) - The marking of the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina began on the Hum Hill with raising of the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina and intonation of the anthem.

After that, delegations of all levels of government in BiH, and the Alliance of the Organizations of Veterans of People’s Liberation War (SABNOR) of BiH and the Sarajevo Canton, the Veterans' Organizations of the Sarajevo Canton, and political parties laid flowers at the Eternal Flame Memorial, the Kovači Cemetery, the Memorial to the Murdered Children in the Besieged Sarajevo 1992-1995 and the Vraca Memorial Park.

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić, a member of the Presidency, Šefik Džaferović (SDA), and the President of the SDA, Bakir Izetbegović also laid flowers to mark the BiH Statehood Day.

Vice President of the Social Democratic Party of BiH (SDPBiH) Vojin Mijatović announced that a solemn ceremony will be held in Banja Luka on the occasion of November 25, the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The first session of ZAVNOBIH (National Anti-Fascist Council of the People's Liberation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) was held 78 years ago, on November 25, 1943 in Mrkonjić Grad.

At the session, a decision was made to restore the statehood of BiH, its historical borders were confirmed, and Bosnia and Herzegovina was defined as one of the six equal republics in the former Yugoslavia.

The conclusion of the session of ZAVNOBiH is that Bosnia and Herzegovina is defined by this decision as a single and indivisible state in which all nations will have the same rights.
