France donates 117,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine to Bosnia and Herzegovina

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, December 20 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina will receive 117,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines as a donation from the Republic of France on Friday, December 24.

The government of that country has made the donation of vaccines against COVID-19 one of its priorities, in solidarity with the countries affected by the pandemic and to help speed up vaccination coverage around the world.

France was the first country to allocate vaccines under the COVAX mechanism in April this year and has since pledged to donate 120 million doses by the end of the first half of 2022, of which 67 million have already been donated to COVAX.

France is thus the third country, after the United States and Japan, to award the most doses in terms of the quantity within the G7, the French Embassy in BiH announced.
