VITEZ, January 5 (FENA) - Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman visited Central Bosnia on Tuesday, and during the laying of wreaths in Križančevo selo near Vitez, he said that he came to that part of BiH with a message of encouragement to Croats living there, but also with a message of support for the preservation of peace and stability in BiH.
Grlić Radman arrived on a two-day official visit to BiH, and in addition to Križančevo selo, he also visited the monastery in Guča Gora near Travnik and met with Croat officials from Central Bosnia.
After the meeting, he reiterated Croatia's readiness to help BiH on its European path.
"The closer BiH is to the EU, the closer is to the Republic of Croatia as well. On that side, our greatest interest is to have BiH in the Union as soon as possible. That would be the best solution for a stable, functional and prosperous BiH and all its constituent peoples and citizens," said Grlić Radman.
It is equally important, he said, to ensure all political rights for all citizens.
"It is important to stay in BiH, to ensure all political rights, living conditions, education, cultural, linguistic and national identity, all through government institutions, and therefore it is important to change the election law to ensure their legitimate representation," said the Croatian minister.
Speaking about the political situation, he said that Croatia is against separatism, but also unitarism.
After the meeting, FBiH President Marinko Čavara said that Croat officials from Central Bosnia wanted to discuss everything that is important for Croats in this area.
