SARAJEVO, January 9 (FENA) - Vice President of the entity of RS, Ramiz Salkić said today that the continuation of the unconstitutional and unlawful celebration of January 9, as the day so-called "Day of RS" creates an environment of uncertainty, it disturbs, unsettles, provokes and discriminates against all victims of persecution, serious crimes and genocide, spreading religious, national hatred and intolerance towards all the citizens who are not Serb Orthodox in this country.
"The authorities of the entity of RS this year as well have continued the practice of marking January 9 as the "Day of RS", which is unlawful and unconstitutional activity, and which violates the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and it is a criminal act.
Salkić pointed out that respecting the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a constitutional obligation arising from the Dayton Peace Agreement, and that anyone who violates the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina directly violates the Dayton Peace Agreement and endangers peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He claims that the Government of the RS entity, every year without a constitutional and legal basis and contrary to the position of the Venice Commission and the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, without the existence of a valid law, declares January 9 as the "Day of this entity".
"These activities require an ex officio response from the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has not reacted so far, I take this opportunity to publicly call on them to investigate those responsible for rejecting the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, violating the Dayton Peace Agreement, endangering peace, execute discrimination, spreading religious and ethnic intolerance., abuse of position and unintended spending of the entity's budget funds," warned Salkić.
He believes that the lack of their adequate reaction on that issue in the previous years has additionally encouraged the government of the entity of RS to continue and intensify activities to mark the discriminatory, unlawful and unconstitutional day of the entity, actively discarding the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
