SARAJEVO, January 28 (FENA) - The Guarantee Fund managed by the Government of the Federation of BiH and administered by the Development Bank of the Federation of BiH, fourteen months after its establishment, shows the importance and significance of this instrument of assistance of the Government of the Federation of BiH to the economy in the recovery and stabilization of business caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
243 credit requests to entrepreneurs within the five credit-guarantee programs of the Guarantee Fund were supported, and guarantees for loans in the amount of 211,395,407.00 KM were provided, the FBiH Development Bank announced.
Loans placed within the credit-guarantee programs of the Grant Fund are primarily aimed at preserving jobs, maintaining production and exports, providing liquidity and ensuring stable operations through the launch of new business activities and the growth and development of existing ones.
Through this Fund, the Government of the Federation of BiH has provided a total of 100 million KM of funds, which serve as the primary source of guarantees issued by the Development Bank of the Federation of BiH on behalf of the Federation of BiH, it issues to commercial banks, for loans that they grant to entrepreneurs, i.e. end users of the Fund, while additional funds of the Fund are provided through administration.
