Sarajlić, Krišto and NATO Commander discuss security and peace in BiH

SARAJEVO, March 9 (FENA) - Chairman of the Joint Commission for Defense and Security of BiH Asim Sarajlić and Deputy Chairman of the Joint Commission Borjana Krišto received today the Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Brigadier General Pamela MCGah.

During the meeting, Sarajlić and Krišto introduced the Brigadier General to the activities of the Joint Commission for Defense and Security of BiH. The situation in the defense and security sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina was also discussed.

Sarajlić and Krišto emphasized that at the moment, the strategic issue for Bosnia and Herzegovina is dialogue, mutual respect, security, and peace. They pointed out that the support of the Joint Commission for the adoption of the budget for 2022 in the part related to the defense and security sector is unquestionable as providing conditions for a stable political and security situation.

On this occasion, Brigadier General McGaha strongly supported the efforts of the members of the Joint Commission to adopt the budget of BiH institutions for 2022 and to support the Reform Program of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2022 to the extent possible in the current circumstances.

Sarajlic and Kristo supported the work of the Commission for Cooperation with NATO of the BiH Council of Ministers and expressed readiness to continue cooperation with the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo in the spirit of partnership and long-standing good practice of mutual respect and trust.
