FBiH Govt. to provide farmers 1,400,000 liters of diesel fuel free of charge

SARAJEVO, March 24 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of BiH, at the proposal of the FBiH Commodity Reserves Directorate, today at its session passed a Decision on providing permanent use of diesel fuel in the amount of 1,400,000 liters from existing stocks of FBiH commodity reserves to agricultural producers (50 liters of fuel per hectare) in the Federation of BiH, and according to the official lists of the FBiH Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry and cantonal governments, for emergency intervention caused by rising energy prices in the FBiH market. 

 

 

This support can be provided by agricultural producers who last year received support per hectare of arable land at the FBiH or cantonal level, who updated the data in the Register of Agricultural Holdings and the Register of Clients, and reported production in 2022, said the Press Service of the Government of FBiH.

The maximum amount of support cannot be higher than the one achieved for the number of hectares of cultivated area in 2021.

The funds necessary for the implementation of this decision will be provided from the current reserves of the FBiH Government.

The Government has instructed the FBiH Commodity Reserves Directorate, the FBiH Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry and the FBiH Ministry of Finance to implement the Decision, each within its competences.

The Decision shall enter into force on the day of its adoption and shall be published in the Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH
