LIVNO, March 30 (FENA) - A delegation from the French Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by Ambassador Christina Toudic, paid a working visit to Canton 10 on Wednesday.
On behalf of the Canton 10 Government, the delegation was received by the cantonal Minister of Science, Education, Culture and Sports Gordana Nakić and the Minister of Labor, Health, Social Welfare, and Exiled Momčilo Bajić.
The ministers welcomed Ambassador Toudic and her delegation, which also included an adviser on cooperation and culture and the director of the French Institute in BiH Jean-Christoph Thiabaud, and French language attaché Lucile Bertaux.
Ambassador Toudic was informed by members of the Government about the peculiarities and natural features of Canton 10, as well as the potential and modalities of development in the tourism and economic sector.
The French Ambassador thanked for the warm welcome and presented the activities of the Embassy and future plans such as projects and programs to support the social and economic sector in BiH.
During the meeting, they discussed the promotion and learning of French in educational institutions in Canton 10.
In that regard, BiH will soon present its regional project to the public in a few days, whose main goals will be the promotion of the French language, the establishment of school networks, and connecting schools that will have French in their curriculum, the statement said.
Ambassador Toudic also expressed readiness for future cooperation between the French Embassy in BiH and the Canton 10 Government, especially in areas aimed at promoting, tourism, and investing French companies in the Canton 10 area.
