SARAJEVO, April 7 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković met today in Sarajevo with Chief Prosecutor of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Courts (IRMCT) Serge Brammertz, who is visiting the United Nations Security Council to prepare a regular report on BiH.
Topics of discussion were the cooperation of domestic institutions with the Prosecutorial Mechanism in prosecuting war crimes in BiH, regional judicial cooperation in war crimes cases, and the problem of continuous denial of genocide and glorification of war criminals in BiH and the region.
During the meeting, Minister Turković emphasized the importance of efficient implementation of the Revised State Strategy for Work on War Crimes Cases in All Its Aspects and the adoption of the Decision on Registration of Judgments of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and the International Residual Mechanism for Hague Tribunals.
The cases of BiH citizens Osman Osmanović and Husein Mujanović were also discussed at the meeting for whom BiH asked Serbia to cede to BiH judiciary in accordance with the signed protocol.
Chief Prosecutor Brammertz stressed the need to strengthen regional co-operation in the justice system and stressed the good co-operation of the MRMC prosecution with prosecutors' offices in BiH and the region, the BiH Foreign Ministry's Public Relations Office said.
