SARAJEVO, April 26 (FENA) - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković talked in Washington with the US Senator Roger Wicker about the current political situation in BiH and the region in the context of changing geopolitical circumstances after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
In a very open conversation with this influential senator, who has been significantly engaged in BiH for years, Turković spoke about the most important issues of the functioning of state institutions, reform processes and the fight against corruption.
Also, it was unequivocally stated that the elections must be held, in accordance with the law.
Wicker pointed out that the United States has a continuity of constructive engagement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that the new circumstances provide the basis for an enhanced role together with European partners, in terms of preserving stability and enabling BiH's progress towards EU and NATO memberships.
