SARAJEVO, May 3 (FENA) - The Board of Directors of the BH Association of Journalists issued a congratulatory message to journalists and media in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of May 3, World Press Freedom Day.
"Journalists and media are one of the main pillars of society and as such have a great responsibility to truly inform the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina about all processes related to their daily lives, and it is not permissible for anyone to prevent them from doing so. Journalists and the media were at the forefront of the COVID 19 virus at this difficult time, informing the public, regardless of the health risk to which they themselves were exposed. They worked hard, informing the citizens about all the dangers and difficulties that threatened the world," it is stated in the congratulatory message.
According to the report of the organization "Reporters Without Borders", according to the World Index of Freedom of the Media for 2021, BiH ranks 58th among 180 countries and is among the best in the region.
Traditionally, on the occasion of May 3, the Association of BH Journalists at the event "Journalist of the Year", awards the best and bravest among themselves.
