SARAJEVO, May 6 (FENA) - Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by BiH Assistant Minister of Defense for International Cooperation Zoran Šajinović, received today in Sarajevo the program of the European Fund for Peace (EPF) manager Angelica Lazar and her associates, who arrived in BiH to implement the assistance program for the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH.

The two delegations discussed the details of the realization of the donation of the European Peace Fund in demining equipment to the Armed Forces of BiH in the amount of 10 million euros, which is in progress.

This is a donation from last year, which consists of 34 demining support vehicles, 34 medical support vehicles and medical equipment and 150 metal detectors.

Representatives of the MoD BiH expressed gratitude for the mentioned help in this equipment and hope that the realization of this donation will start as soon as possible.

The Ministry stated that the Armed Forces of BiH are among the few armies in the world that remove landmines according to strict humanitarian standards and perform about 30 percent of all activities in the process of mine clearance in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Thus, the AF BiH makes a more than significant contribution to creating a safe environment for the people of our country.
