SARAJEVO, July 13 (FENA) - The mayors of Sarajevo and Podgorica Benjamina Karić and Ivan Vuković signed the Agreement on the twinning of Sarajevo and Podgorica on Wednesday.

"With this signing, we have also expressed our readiness to use all future opportunities through concrete projects, while always taking into account the needs and interests of our citizens, who are our strongest and most valuable asset," said Mayor Karić.
She said that Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina are two friendly countries.
"I am glad that the Montenegrin Parliament adopted the Resolution on the condemnation of the genocide against the Bosniaks of Srebrenica. Those who run away from this truth into abstract explanations and generalizations are neither humane nor do they have integrity. That is why I am honored to be in the company of those who speak the truth clearly and loudly and are ready to look it in the face and distance themselves from those who run away from the truth," she stated.
The first joint activity of the two sister cities will be the holding of the Sarajevo Days in Podgorica and Podgorica Days in Sarajevo, as part of which the cultural, tourism and economic potentials of the two cities will be promoted, stated the Sarajevo City Administration.
