British Council and Central Bosnia Canton Govt. implement the project 'In Touch with Nature'

TRAVNIK, August 26 (FENA) - The Office for European Integration, Funds, Public Relations and Quality according to international standards of the Central Bosnia Canton Government in cooperation with the British Council is implementing the project "In Touch with Nature", financed by the EU. 

This project is designed in order to influence the awareness of school children so that they learn from an early age about the importance of managing and sorting waste and recycling, in school but also in the wider community.

As part of the project activities, green islands will be procured for five schools in the area of the Central Bosnia Canton, as well as suitable educational content and workshops on the topic of ecology, announced the Press Service of the Central Bosnia Canton.

"The goal of the project is to make a step towards better waste management and efforts to preserve an ecologically clean and healthy environment, to develop and create a positive atmosphere in terms of ecology and work to preserve a clean environment, through the school and additional project activities related to preservation of nature and natural wealth in the local community and beyond," the announcement reads.
