SARAJEVO, September 8 (FENA) - On the occasion of 77 years of Indonesia's independence and 28 years of bilateral cooperation between that country and Bosnia and Herzegovina, a diplomatic reception was organized last night in Sarajevo by the Embassy of Indonesia in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the presence of representatives of BiH government institutions, the diplomatic corps, the academic community, friends of Indonesia and other dignitaries, the host of the reception, Ambassador of Indonesia to BiH Roem Kono, said that bilateral relations between the two countries continue to develop positively.
He said he appreciates all support for Indonesian candidacies in multilateral organizations and hopes for even stronger mutual relations and the necessary cooperation between the two countries, especially after the recent global circumstances caused by the pandemic and other challenges.
Twenty-eight years of bilateral relations have been productive and mutually beneficial, said Ambassador Kono, stressing that in the first half of this year there was an increase in bilateral trade by 16.41 percent compared to the results of the same period last year.
Recalling that his country will host the G20 summit in November this year, he reiterated Indonesia's commitment to creating sustainable growth for all within the initiative.
On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of Indonesia's independence and the 28th anniversary of bilateral relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, during tonight's reception, an appropriate program based on Indonesian tradition and folklore was performed.
