SIPA conducts raids at eight locations in Sarajevo, Tuzla, Brčko and Lukavac

SARAJEVO, October 18 (FENA) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today, as part of the operation codenamed "Web" in the area of Sarajevo, Tuzla, Brčko and Lukavac, conducted raids of residential and commercial buildings and movable property at eight locations.

The aforementioned activities are carried out due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the crimes of "organized crime", "tax evasion" and "submission of a false tax return", "money laundering", "forgery or destruction of business or trade books or documents", "unauthorized use of other company's name", "customer deception" and "illegal trade" have been committed under the Criminal Code of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As announced by SIPA, the raids were carried out on the order of the Basic Court of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of the Brčko District, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Tuzla Canton and the police of the Brčko District.
