SARAJEVO, December 6 (FENA) - Director of the BiH Border Police (BiH BP) Zoran Galić and project manager of the Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Andrei Sarban today signed the Protocol for the implementation of project activities between the Border Police of BiH and the OSCE.

The project of the OSCE Mission "Addressing security and safety risks of illegal possession, misuse and trafficking of SALW and their ammunition in Bosnia and Herzegovina" started in November 2020 and ends in 2024.

The goal of this project is the development of police capacity, security cooperation, and law enforcement.

Signing the protocol means improving cooperation between law enforcement agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of small arms and light weapons (SALW) management, strengthening capacities to control and combat the illegal spread of SALW, supporting the development of better management of the security sector that can then better respond to challenges, announced the BiH Border Police.
