Non-working days will be January 1, 2, and 3

SARAJEVO, January 26 (FENA) - Non-working days in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the New Year holidays are January 1, 2 and 3, 2023.

The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy announced that, in accordance with legal provisions, the New Year is celebrated as a holiday on two days - January 1 and 2. If one of the days on which the New Year is celebrated falls on a Sunday, the first following day after two days is considered a holiday.

Given that January 1, 2023 is a Sunday, the Federal Ministry informs that Sunday January 1, Monday January 2 and Tuesday January 3, 2023 are non-working days in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Office announced for public relations of the FBiH Government.

Namely, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy explained that the New Year is a holiday that is celebrated on two days (January 1 and 2) in accordance with the Law on Holidays, which, based on the Decree with legal force on the adoption and application of federal laws, that is, the Law on Confirmation of Decrees with Legal Force, applies as a federal law.
