TRAVNIK, January 15 (FENA) - A team of young engineers from the GS - TMT company in Travnik, enamored with the idea of green energy, built Bosnia and Herzegovina's first electric delivery vehicle, which they named EVO. They worked on it for about two years, and as they say, they don't want to stop there.

EVO, named after Ivo Andrić, is primarily intended for the German market, but also for the region.

The executive director of GS-TMT, Senad Beganović, told FENA that the vehicle is intended for logistics companies and other companies that deal with the distribution of cargo for urban environments.

Making the EVO, he added, is only one part of what they do, announcing that in the future they will focus on the development of electric vehicles and green energy.

The company GS - TMT currently has more than 500 employees engaged in mechanical engineering. They work for customers from the mechanical industry, that is, they produce construction and agricultural machines and vehicles.

Beganović pointed out that they cooperate with global companies, such as Liebherr, Messer, Siemens and many others.

Head of the EVO project, Lejla Zvrko-Spahić, said that their biggest challenge was to coordinate all vehicle segments, electrical and mechanical components. In some parts of the construction process, she said, they had no experience or knowledge, but with valuable research, study and work, they succeeded.

Speaking about the plans, she said that in the sixth month, they will participate in EUROBik, the central platform for the world of bicycles and the future of mobility, which takes place in June in Frankfurt.

One of the engineers, Ejub Jašarević, pointed out that the vehicle has two battery modules and a rear drive. The maximum speed it can reach is 45 kilometers per hour, and one charge of both battery modules can drive 100 kilometers.

He explained that the EVO belongs to the category of L6 vehicles and that it has "in wheel hub" motors of 2 kilowatts on the rear wheels.
